juicyhostage It's sludgy. It's stonery. It's psychedelic. It's heavy. It's the type of music I've been searching for after hearing the band Elder for the first time and I'm super glad this popped onto my radar just as the year was about to end.

I don't usually decide AOTY's very easily, but this might be my favorite record of 2018. It's so damn ADDICTING and I ADORE it! Favorite track: Excension.

Stoner Metal Bard Ever since I bought this album I've been craving more sound like this. Can't wait to hear what OoD puts out next. Favorite track: Excension.

FDJ Sludge mixed with post-rock texturing may sound like a recipe for disaster but Kansas City's Orphans of Doom manage to pull off blending the two with astonishing results, highly recommended listening.

Quinn Campanella Crushingly heavy with a dose of psychedelia. Full volume recommended! Favorite track: Harvest.

about

Orphans Of Doom Kansas City, Missouri

"Orphans of Doom are Jeremy Isaacson (bass/vocals), Bryan Sedey (guitar), and Greg Koelling (drums). Since the summer of 2016, Orphans of Doom have been writing sludgy, trashy, proggy, doom-laden riffs simply to please themselves. Now, it's 2018 and the release of their debut album Strange Worlds/Fierce Gods marks a new focus of bringing their riffs and soundscapes to the masses.”
